The thoughts and mannerisms of your friends are contagious. If you are around them for a while, you’ll catch what they’ve got. Your job is to be around people who will infect you with thoughts and ways that will make life better for you and your family.
A true friend is one who will do whatever it takes to make the other person feel good physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, and to show complete trust, forgiveness, acceptance and support for that person’s well being and future.
To keep your conversations moving along, avoid asking closed-ended questions like “Do you like your job?” or “Do you live nearby?” which can be answered with a “yes” or “no.” Ask open-ended questions.
Ask three questions about what the other person is talking about, before switching to the one you want to talk about.
