Certain events and beliefs change the rules we live by. They can cause us to be bold or afraid, beaten or determined, sadder or wiser, to shrink from or rise above. The meanings we attribute to them are called “Tags”.

For example if your partner is late for dinner on a regular basis, you could conclude a couple different things:

  1. They don’t love, respect or care about you enough to show up on time
  2. They love, respect and care about you so much that they want to do their best at work so they can provide for you.

The tag you choose determines your perspective, which determines your feelings, future explanations, actions and reactions toward your partner.  Can you see how choosing the wrong tag could lead to a big mistake?
